Well, I thought so, but looks like we have mirrors not just on the walls but everywhere, in flesh and blood, breathing, moving and living. I am talking of something called Mirror Neurons.
Technically, A mirror neuron is a neuron that fires when an animal acts or when the animal observes the same action performed by another. Thus, the neuron “mirrors” the behavior of the other, as though the observer were itself acting. Remember the story of “The Capseller and the Monkey?” Such neurons have been directly observed in primates, humans and other species including birds. Some scientists like V.S. Ramachandran consider mirror neurons one of the most important recent discoveries in neuroscience. They are believed to be important in imitation and language acquisition.
What they are saying is “We are hardwired to imitate”!!! 
These neurons are believed to be behind the empathy that we show to our fellow creatures. They explain how a child learns and how the culture in our society evolved. But the most important according to me is where it explains how we imbibe from our surroundings quickly and imitate the people around us. That is why being around angry,resentful people makes you the same and being around sunshine happy people makes you happy. That is why after have met a new person or speak to somebody new, you may forget how the person was but you will always remember how you felt around them. That is why we can see through a person.That is why friendship and love are all about making the other person feel special and feeling the same in turn. The emotional contagion goes way beyond out teenage years and the urge to laugh or yawn when the other one does.
Little did we know that when we were taught in school to not copy we were going against the basic human tendency ( no wonder the teaching is hardly followed 
) And we blamed the cats (copy cats ) all these years and made stories on monkeys(cap-seller and the monkey). phew!!! And what is amazing we have copyrights that don’t let us copy 
We blame people for plagiarism.. And when they can’t do it properly we call it cheap imitation
Confused is it the Weird ways of the world or complex working of brain!!!
